Artificial tears (replacement for natural tears)
Artificial tears replace natural tears and
are available in the form of drops and sprays or
gels. Artificial tears help to fight dry eyes. They can be used
together with contact
lenses, but it is always better to consult this with an ophthalmologist
first. Artificial tears also help to keep the conjunctiva moist and prevent
corneal dryness.
Contact lens wearers should not use oil-based
artificial tears.
