Abbreviations in contacts
Contact lens abbreviations are indicated on packaging and blister packs.
- D - diopter value
- DIA - lens diameter
- BC - lens base curvature (radius)
- LOT - batch number
- EXP - expiration of the product (month and year)
At toric contact lenses there are these two shortcuts:
- AXIS - axis of the cylinder
- CYL - cylinder value (in diopters)
